Position Details


Community Support Specialist
On Call

Columbia Community Mental Health has several positions available for On Call Community Support Specialists for our A&D Residential/Detox treatment facility & Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities.  Successful candidates should enjoy working with people; have skills to assist clients with daily living needs (including medication distribution), transportation and recreational activities. Candidates must have the ability to remain calm in high stress & crisis situations; experience in nutritionally balanced meal preparation for up to 16 is required; cleaning is required. Must have a valid driver's license, proof of current auto insurance and ability to be agency insured. (DMV check required) Must be able to pass drug screening & criminal history background check. High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Successful candidates must be committed to working with diverse community populations.

On Call pay range reflects a $1.00 per hour differential – Graveyard shifts have an additional .80 cent differential. Applications will be accepted until position is filled or closed.


Mental Health Counselor I/Residential Support Specialist
Full Time

Columbia Community Mental Health currently has an open position for  a MHC I/Residential Support Specialists for our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (RTF).  This position is a Full Time, 32 hour swing shift position Wednesday thru Saturday.

The position provides both therapeutic and support staff services to adults living within and outside of the residential facility.  Duties include but are not limited to: assessments, evaluations, case management, skills training, medication distribution, client transportation, cleaning, etc.  Successful candidate must have knowledge, skills and abilities to interact as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

Minimum required qualifications include:

1) Bachelor degree in the social service field or a combination of education and experience that qualifies as a QMHA; 2) History of working cooperatively in a team setting; 3) Ability to understand personal boundaries and how boundaries impact treatment; 4) Valid driver license, proof of current auto insurance, reliable transportation and ability to be insured under agency auto policy (DMV check required.

Preferred qualifications include: 

1) Bachelor degree; 2) CADC certification; 3) 3 years relevant work experience

Registered Nurse
On Call

Columbia Community Mental Health is a progressive, client centered behavioral health facility and part of the Columbia Pacific CCO.CCMH is located NW of Portland in beautiful St. Helens, ideally between a metropolitan area and the coast.
CCMH has an immediate  opening for an On Call Registered Nurse for our Detox Center, Bridge to Pathways that is part of Columbia Community Mental Health, and serves the CCO region.
The Register Nurse position is a critical part of our detox and clinical treatment teams where collaboration and multi-disciplinary teams of medical and clinical professionals will provide quality and compassionate care for substance-dependent clients and clients with co-occurring disorders.
Candidate must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background check.  Successful candidate must be committed to working with diverse community populations.
Essential functions for the Registered Nurses include but is not limited to
*Daily brief assessment of alcohol and drug- dependent clients
*Administer medication as prescribed by a physician
*Provide quality care to substance dependent and dually disordered patients and consult with medical/clinical teams
*Administer and review PPD tests
*Ensure referral for lab analysis and evaluation of results
*Provide client health education in individual and group settings
*For opiate replacement therapy clients, work with Physician to review, document and implement medication changes based on verbal order. CCMH is an NHSC (National Health Service Corps) approved site

Requirements for this position include:
*Current, unencumbered Oregon license as an RN

Developmental Disabilities (DD) Service Coordinator

Columbia Community Mental Health is currently seeking a FT Service Coordinator for our agency's DD program.

The position provides case management services to individuals with developmental disabilities in Columbia County.

Successful candidate should have knowledge of developmental disability services, programs, case management activities; skills to interact with clients, their significant others and subcontracted providers; ability to communicate positively and productively; ability to manage time and work demands appropriately; ability to work independently; and ability to complete state reporting requirements accurately and efficiently.

Minimum required qualifications: 1) Bachelor's degree; 2) Two years work experience in human services with one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Preferred qualifications: 1) Prior case management experience in Oregon

A&D Counselor (Satellite Office)

Columbia Community Mental Health is seeking a full time A&D Counselor for an Outpatient Treatment Program in our Satellite office in Scappoose, Oregon.  The position provides therapeutic services to adolescent and adult clients and their families who are struggling with substance abuse.  Must have experience working with adolescents, adults and families.

Requirements include:  Associates degree in social science or related field, current Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor certification.

Preferred—Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.

Candidate must pass a drug screening and criminal background check. Candidate must also have a valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance and ability to be agency insured (DMV check required). Outpatient Mental Health Child Case Manager

Columbia Community Mental Health is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our dedicated team of Outpatient counselors.  The Outpatient Mental Health Child Case Manager will provide direct support and intensive case management to children and families with mental health issues.

Duties include, but are not limited to: Case management for children and their families; individual/group skills training; Hospital intake/discharge coordination; Crisis Respite authorizations, admissions and follow ups; Court, Juvenile Justice/OYA liaison.

Successful candidate should have knowledge/skills in clinical assessment, diagnostics and treatment; must possess the skills/abilities to interact as a member of an interdisciplinary team and complete required documentation in a timely manner.

Bachelor Degree in social service related field with at least 1 year relevant work experience is required – Master Degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology or Social Work preferred.

Residential Treatment Facility (RTF) Administrator

Cornerstone Residential Treatment Facility is seeking an exceptional individual to immediately fill the position of Administrator for the facility. 

The Administrator is responsible for the day to day functioning of the facility, staff supervision, licensing of the facility and compliance with all OAR/ORS rules and keeping the facility full (this is not an exhaustive list of the position or responsibilities)

Minimum required qualifications include: 1) Bachelor Degree in human service related field; 2) Minimum of 3 years working in a community mental health facility; 3) Exceptional organizational/communication skills

Preferred qualifications: 1) Master Degree in a human service related field
